Cequa (generic name: cyclosporine 0.9% ophthalmic solution) is prescribed to treat dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). Its function is to increase tear production.

Dosage

Follow the prescribing doctor’s instructions. Cequa should not be used while wearing contact lenses. If contact lenses are worn, they should be removed before applying the medications. The lenses can be reinserted 15 minutes following the administration of the medicine into the eye. Each box contains 60 single-dose vials of 0.25 ml.
